About Finland

Our counselors are dedicated to helping you make informed decisions about your study options. We don’t promote courses or institutions based on our own benefit—instead, we focus on what truly aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Finland, officially known as the Republic of Finland, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. It shares borders with Finland to the west, Norway to the north, and Russia to the east, with the Gulf of Finland to the south separating it from Estonia. Finland is renowned for its high-quality education system, innovative learning environment, and excellent quality of life.

Finland is home to a range of world-class universities and colleges, with top institutions located in cities such as Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, and Oulu. These universities are known for their cutting-edge research, student-centered teaching, and international study programs.

WORKING IN FINLAND

Work during your studies

As an international student in Finland, you are allowed to work while studying, with flexible regulations on working hours. However, your academic progress must remain your top priority. Even if classroom hours are limited, you’re generally expected to commit around 40 hours per week to studying, assignments, and independent learning.

Most Finnish universities provide career services to support students in finding part-time work. These services often include job fairs, CV and cover letter reviews, and networking events with local and international companies to help students explore employment opportunities during their studies.

Work after your studies
Finland is a great place to build your career, with many innovative and international companies across the country. After finishing your studies, you can apply to extend your residence permit for up to six months to look for a job or start a business. If you get a job offer that meets certain requirements, you can then apply for a work permit.
